Marjorie A. Wallace's Obituary
WALLACE, MARJORIE ANN, born September 17, 1916 in Eustace, TX, passed away Tuesday, January 16, 2007. Marjorie married John Wallace, August 21, 1946 and together they owned and operated John Wallace Fabrics, a very successful Dallas based business for a number of years. Marjorie was very active in the business as Secretary-Treasurer until the business was sold, at which time she became a full time homemaker. For a number of years she was a member of various Dallas garden clubs and was much sought after for her expertise as a floral decorator and advisor. She was greatly concerned about the educational opportunities of children and more especially those children of deceased service personnel. She was most generous in making contributions to the 82nd Airborne Division Educational Fund. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband, John Wallace; by her sister, Billie Watkins; her brother, Carl Chisolm; and her parents, Thomas and Louise Waldrop Chisolm. She is survived by her brothers, Robert Chisolm & his wife Margaret of Anthony, NM, Thomas Chisolm of Texas City, TX; and nephew & niece, Richard and Dawn Doyle. She will be long remembered as a most caring and generous person and will be sorely missed by all. Services will be held at 9:00 A.M., Monday, January 22, 2007 at Restland Abbey Chapel.
