Marjorie Caroline Young's Obituary
Marjorie Caroline Young, 98, of Dallas, Texas passed went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 16, 2019. She died peacefully at home. She was born on May 4, 1921, to her loving and thoughtful parents Albert and Caroline Witte in the Township of Warsaw, MN. She married Robert Andrew Young on October 2, 1948 in Minneapolis, MN. She worked as an Actuarial Assistant with March and McClennan Companies in Dallas for many years and retired in 1984. Marjorie was the Secretary for the Greater Dallas Rotary Chorus and traveled with them to many exciting places. She is survived by her brother Kenneth Witte; Nephews Albert Witte, James Foley, David Young; Nieces Dawn Loken, Bobbye Lyman, Carenth Mucha, Beth Young Moore, and Victoria Nelson; and an abundance or great and great-great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Young and her beloved sister Eleanor Foley.Upon moving to Dallas she and husband Bob joined First Baptist Church of Dallas and she began teaching 4 and 5 year olds in 1952. She loved the children and they loved her. She continued teaching the same class for 65 years often from the same families.Marjorie loved life, she loved her family and friends, she loved her Church and Pastor Robert Jeffress but she mostly loved the Lord Jesus Christ.Absent from the body at home with the Lord.Visitation will be at Restland Funeral Home Monday, October 21, 2019 from 10:00 a.m to 11:30 a.m. Services will be held Monday October 21, 2019 at 2:30 p.m. in the Historic Sanctuary of First Baptist Church located at 1707 San Jacinto St., Dallas, Texas 75201.
