Mark Craig Dumas' Obituary
Mark Craig Dumas was born December 9, 1954 to N. Francis (Shan) Dobard and Cecil S. Dumas in Dallas, Texas.He was a loving and devoted father, loyal brother and thoughtful friend. He was preceded in death by beloved family; parents, sister Lora Pierce and brother Paul Brent Dumas.For all that knew him, Mark was bigger than life and not just because he was tall in stature. He was bigger than life because of his warm personality, charisma, and heart. You could not meet Mark and not like him, he had a quick wit, infectious laugh, was kind to everyone and had a great way with people. Mark could bring out the best in people no matter the circumstance. It is hard to believe that Mark grew up as a shy child, to see him on a daily basis you would not think he was shy. He connected with people, saw the good in everyone and was able to encourage people to be their best. You can tell that Mark made many friends over the years and touched many lives as he had over 200 visitors come to the hospital to say their goodbye’s and Mark was glad to see each and every one of them.He passed peacefully and was surrounded by family which he cherished above all things. He was able to say bye and hug and kiss his family, which he and they cherished. He will be missed and loved by all; Immediate family Mark’s son Cody and Daughter Tiffany, Brother John Randall Dumas and children John H., Michael, Shane, Chera, Amelia, Alexander, other nieces Kristin Lauren, Madelyn MarDee and Daya Nicole, as well as additional aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous friends.The family will receive friends for the following services:Restland Memorial Park13005 Greenville AvenueDallas, TX 75243Visitation: 5:30pm-9:00pm on Tuesday July 16, 2019Funeral Service: 2:30pm on Wednesday July 17, 2019In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you make a donation in Mark’s name, in honor of his sister Lori Pierce Dumas, to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
