Mark Bertram Rednick's Obituary
Mark Rednick, entrepreneur and loving husband and father, passed away on June 2 at the age of 81. A native of Corpus Christi and a lifelong learner, he attended a series of universities on the way to receiving his bachelor’s degree from North Texas State College (now UNT). He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict. Building on a successful career in sales, in 1967 he became a pioneering franchisee of Management Recruiters International. Together with his wife, he established Sales Consultants of Dallas, which operated for 46 years and which at one point included offices in Arlington, Houston, and Fort Worth. In recognition of his accomplishments and leadership within the organization, he was named MRI’s Person of the Year in 2000. He loved to travel, visiting four continents and many countries, of which his favorite was surely Israel. Friends recall his humor, kindness, and devotion to the Christian life, as well as a distinct perspective he brought to his faith from his childhood in an Orthodox Jewish family. He was an active member of The Branch Church, before which he was head of the benevolence committee at Lake Highlands Church for many years. He was also an avid supporter of CitySquare here in Dallas. He is survived by Anita Rednick, his wife of 57 years; his son, Marcel Rednick; and his daughter, Andrea Granados along with Marco Granados, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 12, at The Branch Church, 3035 Valley View Lane, Farmers Branch, Texas 75234. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CitySquare (www.citysquare.org). Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243.
