Mark Anthony Rodriguez's Obituary
Mark Anthony Rodriguez
April 7, 1973 – October 28, 2025
Resident of Dallas, Texas
Mark Anthony Rodriguez, age 52, passed away on October 28, 2025, in Dallas, Texas. Born on April 7, 1973, in San Antonio, Texas, Mark was lovingly welcomed into the lives of Carmen Moscorro and Juan Rodriguez Jr., who raised him with deep care and devotion.
Mark will be remembered for many things, but most of all for the vibrant spirit he brought to everything he loved. His passion for music, art, and film was evident in every conversation, every collection, and every creative endeavor. A true lover of hockey, he found joy in the energy of the game, just as he did in writing—especially poetry and songs that reflected his unique voice and perspective.
He had the ability to speak and was unmatched, and he always made something insightful.
Mark was proud of his extensive collections of books, guitars, and vinyl records, each item a reflection of his eclectic taste and intellectual curiosity. He possessed a remarkable depth of knowledge in film, Egyptian mythology, tarot readings, movie trivia, documentaries, and art history. Surrealism, Buddhism, meditation, nature, and symbolism were among the many interests that shaped his worldview.
He found beauty in drawing and painting, in the calm of sunsets and sunrises, and in the laughter of stand-up and sketch comedy. His love of spicy food and ice-cold Cokes was just another way he embraced life’s simple pleasures.
Mark is preceded in death by his father, Juan Rodriguez Jr.; grandparents Camilo and Victoria Moscorro; uncles Elias and Fermen Moscorro; and grandfather Juan Rodriguez Sr.
He is survived by his beloved daughters, Aurora and Leyla Rodriguez; his mother Carmen Parrish and stepfather Doug Parrish; siblings David and Roxanne; seven uncles, seven aunts, 130 cousins, and many more second and third cousins. He leaves behind cherished friends in North Carolina, Michigan, and Dallas; godchildren including Justin; his former partner and mother of his children, Sandra Cuellar; and former stepfather George.
