Mark Edward Shaw's Obituary
Mark Edward Shaw, a loving, caring brother and a great friend to many, passed away at his home in Piano, Texas, Wednesday, December 28,2016, due to a sudden illness. Mark was born February 19,1954, to Edna Janell Bailey at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Oklahoma City, OK. Adopted as a child by his stepfather, Harry W. Shaw, he attended Farmers Branch, Texas, public schools and was a graduate of W.T. White High School in 1972. He attended Texas Tech University, eventually working in a variety of positions throughout his career. A great love of the outdoors led Mark to enjoy hunting, fishing and all aspects of ranching and farming. He also enjoyed meeting his many friends during the week to visit and play Texas Hold ‘Em. His contagious laughter brought many smiles to the people around him during his adventurous journey through life, and he will be truly missed by his family and friends. Survivors of Mark include his children, Justin Shaw and family of Prosper, Texas, and Summer Shaw of Dallas, Texas. Also surviving Mark are brothers, Scott Shaw, Greg Harmon, David Harmon and Max Shaw, David Worth Shaw and sisters, Sherrye Harmon and Patsy Shaw, Step-mother, Charymaine Shaw, and other family members and friends are also left to fondly remember Mark. Mark was preceded in death by Sally Shaw (Wife) his parents, Harry W. and Edna J. Shaw, and grandparents, Hubert E. and Edna Jo (Banks) Bailey A memorial service will be held in the Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, Texas, 75243, at 3:00pm, Tuesday, January 3, 2017, with Pastor Keith Taylor of Southside Baptist Church of Denison, Texas, officiating. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted into Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75243.
