Marlene Bebin Campbell's Obituary
Marlene Bebin Campbell was taken by our Lord on October 2nd, 2022.
She was preceded in death by her husband Bill, eldest son David, and her parents Anthony and Olga Bebin.
Marlene is survived by her daughter-in-law Lynda, son John and wife Keri, son Paul and wife Kelly, grandchildren Matthew, Connor, Hayden, Mackenzie, Will and Meghan, and great-grandchildren Arthur and Cordelia.
Marlene was born in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania, on October 23, 1935. She grew up in New York city, where she met her husband-to-be Bill while they both worked for the Royal Globe Insurance Company. Married in January of 1955, Bill was transferred to Abilene, Texas, where Marlene got her first taste of west Texas (she has said many times she cried for the several months of her marriage after the move). They also lived in San Antonio, Fort Worth and Dallas while starting their family. After returning to New York for a few years, they made Dallas their final home in 1974. Marlene was very involved in All Saints Catholic Church and she sang in the choir for over 30 years. She and Bill made many lifelong friends in Texas. They also enjoyed decades of memories with Bill’s brother Don and wife Linda, and their children Carla, Craig and Caryn.
Marlene will be fondly remembered for family gatherings at her house with excellent cooking, her commitment to family, church, and friends, and the beautiful singing at Midnight Mass each Christmas.
Marlene’s visitation will be on Thursday, October 13th from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and her funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday the 14th. Both will be at Restland Funeral Home, 13005 Greenville Ave in Dallas
