Marquis Boutte's Obituary
Marquis Boutte’ was born August 18, 1932 in Baton Rouge, LA and passed away September 11, 2011, in Dallas, TX. Marquis was a lady with an abundance of love for family and friends alike: a kind person with a great sense of humor who was amused by the antics of all of us. She was a real beauty from her three year old knocked kneed sass and her pink crocheted dress, her Miss Booker T. attendant role at homecoming in her smart tailored suit, to her final days shopping with her daughters for things that would fit. Oh, how we loved her and will miss her once the shock of her demise settles in. She is preceded in death by her father, Theodis Shine Sr. and mother, Bessie Shine; husband, Fredrick Boutte’ and nephew, Kristofer Shine. Marquis is survived by brothers, Ted Shine Jr. and Michael Shine; daughters; Rhonda Boutte’ and Jacquelynne Boutte’-Nelson and husband David; grandchildren, Kelsey Nelson and David Chase Nelson; nephew Stefan Shine and wife Hayley. Family will receive friends Friday September 16, 2011 from 6-8pm at Restland Funeral Home. Service will be held Saturday, September 17, 2011 at 11:00 am at Munger Avenue Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
