Lit a candle in memory of Marsha Montgomery
Marsha, I had to get sassy today, and I thought of you. Not only do we share a love and mutual understanding of animals, but we did enjoy being sassy on occasion. I will forever be changed by having you in my life, and now that you have moved on, life will never be the same. You won't be there to greet in the morning. We won't share pictures of animals. No one up here ooohs and aaaahs over pictures of my furry babies the way you did. My plants are barely hanging on because you aren't here to remind me to water them or pick off the leaves while we talk. It is hard to walk past your desk and see the fun stuff and remember that you will never sit there again. If our unit goes back to the fair…who can I shop with? Who will want to go see the dogs? The State Fair won't be the same without you. We are lost without you. You are irreplaceable. Thank you so much for your support of us all through the years. Words are inadequate when trying to express the sadness I feel.
Marsha I can't imagine not seeing you at your desk when I walk through the door but I take comfort in knowing that you are sitting in a far better chair which is in heaven looking down on unit KA. You took very good care of us by making sure we had everything we needed to do our job. You know you were the Queen of the "Box"…lol. You will be missed dearly and we thank you for being our supporter and friend!!!!!!!!!! Your family will be in my prayers…… Deborah O'Bannon
Marsha will be missed by so many. We were waiting for her to get back to work, although after 30 years she probably needed a rest. Many tears have been shed today when we heard the news. We will miss her dog and cat stories, not to mention updates on her family. I will miss the extra things she did, that I did not even ask her to do. Marsha was a support to many, and it is hard knowing that she will not be back. I hope the knowledge that she was appreciated by many will be a comfort to her family. Virginia Lamb
I moved to another Region a couple of years ago so I was not aware of Marsha being ill. I remember stopping by Marsha's desk to share a story or a laugh, to vent (just a little for us both), and to find out how to do some tasks on the computer that I had not done before. Marsha was also willing to take in a couple of my 'orphan' trees from the Arbor Day Foundation. I enjoyed her support and her spirit. She will be missed. If you know the song Too-ra Loo-ra here is an Irish Blessing to go with the chours: May God be in His Heaven Sitting on His Throne May His peace prevail around you Knowing you are not alone May Christ walk on beside you As you travel through your day May His Spirit abide within you To guide you on your way
Medium Dish Garden was purchased for the family of Marsha Montgomery.
I am a worker here at CPS and even though I did not know her personally I feel a loss is a loss regardless because our CPS staff touch the lives of many even those closest to them here at work. I send prayers and hugs to the family and ask for the Lord to help you in your time of healing and bereavement. May God continue to walk and keep you in his merciful arms. God bless. -Stephanie Russell INV IV
