LEVASSEUR, MARSHALL JOSEPH JR., LCDR U.S. NAVY, RET. Born on May 23, 1927 and Duluth, MN and passed away on March 25, 2008 in Garland, TX. Marshall was an avid hunter and fisherman, known as the ‘Great White Hunter’ to many. He served for 30 years in the U.S. Navy, earning the rank of Lieutenant Commander. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and Elk Lodge #71. He is preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers; and 1 sister. He is survived by wife of 61 years, Doris LeVasseur; children, Thomas LeVasseur, Susan Strange and husband George, Lon LeVasseur and wife Donna, and Carol Ann Corsi and husband Marco; 8 grandchildren, Jennifer, Laura, Chelsea, Amber, Brittany, Orlando Joseph, Cristina, and Sofia; 2 sisters; and several nieces and nephews.
