Born and raised in a home in Oak Cliff, which her father built for his new bride in 1920, now the site of the popular restaurant, La Calle Doce. Martha was the ‘Hostess with the Mostess’ who brought her sense of humor and positive outlook to every occasion. She dressed beautifully, kept up with the times, a very hip ‘with it’ southern lady. She traveled extensively with her husband and family and took many cruises with her loving daughter. Martha Moshelle Burnett Addington was preceded in death by her mother, Elizabeth Gresham Burnett Moore, father Foster Charles Burnett, husband, Rayford William Addington, Sr., brother John G. Burnett. She is survived by children, Rayford Addington, Jr., and wife Martha Ann, Shelley Addington, Mike Addington and wife, Joni. Martha was the loving ‘Meema’ to her grandchildren Moshelle Carlson, Meredith Wiskur, Matt Addington and Courtney Addington; great grandchildren Avery Wiskur, Lilly Wiskur, Nathan Carlson, Sophie Carlson and Anna Lee Carlson and sister-in-law, Mary Helen Burnett. Thank you to all the staff at Signature Pointe and all her many friends in assisted living. Whenever Martha called you ‘Baby Doll’ you knew she meant it and loved you.
