Martha "Louise" Binkley's Obituary
Martha “Louise” Binkley, beloved mother and grandmother, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 12, 2011, at the age of 83. Louise was born in Kenedy, TX on February 20, 1928, to parents Hayes Roberson and Hattie Hunt. The youngest of seven children, everyone in town affectionately knew Louise as “Baby”. After attending business school, Louise worked in accounting at Coastal States Gas Producing Company in Corpus Christi, TX and later in Houston, TX. On December 19, 1948, Louise married the love of her life, W.C. Binkley in Corpus Christi, TX. They later moved to Sinton, TX where they were blessed with two children, Brenda and Jerry. Louise and W.C. were active members of their church and community and established many lifelong friends. Louise is preceded in death by her husband W.C. and granddaughter Ashley. She is survived by her sister; daughter Brenda and her husband Tom of Allen, TX; son Jerry and his wife Patrice of Palo Alto, CA; grandchildren Kyle, Brent, Sarah, Turner, Caroline, and Brooke; and nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 15, at 12:00 noon at the Abbey Chapel on the grounds of Restland Funeral Home, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243 with Reverend Neal Jeffrey officiating.
