Martha Dyer Evans' Obituary
Martha Dyer Evans, born on October 14, 1926, in Morristown, Tennessee, to Joe Elmer Dyer and Elsie Beatrice Moore, passed away on May 6, 2025, surrounded by peace and faith, as she went to be with her Lord and Savior.
Martha was a fiercely independent woman who left home in her twenties to forge her own path. She began a long and fulfilling career with Delta, which allowed her to travel widely and live fully. It was during this chapter of life that she met the love of her life, Marion Dale Evans, in 1967. Together, they built the life they dreamed of in Dallas, Texas.
A devoted animal lover, Martha had a particular fondness for cats. But above all, she was a best friend and steadfast supporter to her beloved son, Leland Gaines Evans, and his wife, Patricia.
Martha will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Her warmth, independence, and enduring spirit leave behind a legacy of love.
