Martha Ruth Gomez's Obituary
Martha Ruth Gomez born on the 4th of July 1934 in Dallas, Texas to Opal Packwood & Fred Brown was called home February 15, 2023. Her life reveals that what happens to us is always less important than how we respond. Ruth devoted her life to her husband, raising her children and loving her granddaughter. She lived through the loss of her sons Stephen M. Gomez and David P. Gomez, her husband of 69 years Mike Gomez, her sister Fredene Plumley and brother Robert "Bob" Brown. Through all of these things Ruth stood with the radiance of faith shining as a light that encouraged the rest of us. She is survived by her daughter Cynthia G. Gomez, granddaughter Madeline M. Gomez and her fiancé Christopher T. Pepe, sister-in-law Doris Brown, brother-in-law Owen Plumley, numerous nieces & nephews and three very special women whom she considered daughters, Sharron K. Mills, Margaret A. Rendon, and Linda L. Lucky. Her service will be held Friday, February 24, 2023 at 10:00 AM in Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home in Dallas, Texas.
