Martha Ellen Kennard's Obituary
Martha Ellen Campbell Kennard was born on July 27, 1930 in Bonham, Texas, the daughter of Malcolm McDonald Campbell and Mildred Neville Campbell and went home to be with our Lord on June 19, 2020 in Dallas Texas. She married the late Robert Harold Kennard on May 9, 1953. Their marriage lasted over 62 years until his death in 2015. They had two children: Robert Malcolm Kennard (Betsy); Julie Ellen Kennard Gardner (Michael); together with five grandchildren, and one great grandchild.
Martha graduated as an honor graduate from Bonham High School in May 1947, then attended Southern Methodist University, where she was a member of the Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority. She graduated from SMU in 1951, and became a school teacher in Richardson Independent School District. At the time of her death she was a member of Redeemer Bible Church of Dallas. She, along with her husband, were followers of Thru the Bible Ministry by J. Vernon McGee.
The family would like to thank the caregivers of Jackson Place who doted on her and loved her like she was a family member. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Redeemer Bible Church of Dallas or Thru the Bible Ministry.
