I became close to Martha's daughter Tina (Christina) in college, and we've been very close ever since. From the first time I met Martha and Tony, they welcomed me into their wide circle of love and friendship. I don't think Martha ever met a person she didn't offer that special friendship to! When I got married, she and Monica traveled many miles from Texas to Minnesota to be there. She and Tony supported our family with love, prayers, notes, gifts, and financial help through 17 years of full-time cross-cultural church ministry, for which I will always be grateful. Martha is an extraordinary woman. I say "is", because she is now more alive than ever in the presence of Jesus. I know now she is singing, laughing, smiling, walking, dancing, and serving her Lord! But she will be greatly missed while those who love her grieve, heal, and find ways to honor her memory and honor the Lord while they wait to see her again. I am so sorry for your tremendous loss, and you all are continually in my prayers. With much, much love, Lauren Cox
