Martha and Ron Ritter's Obituary
Martha and Ron Ritter both passed away in February of 2018, just a few days apart from each other. Martha Ritter passed away on February 5, 2018. She was born January 22, 1938, to Lloyd and Mary Everling. Ron Ritter passed away February 21, 2018. He was born June 11, 1935, to Arthur and Emily Robillard.Funeral services for Martha and Ron will be held Monday, March 26, 2018, at First United Methodist Richardson. Visitation will be Sunday, March 25, 2018, from 3-6:00 P.M., at Restland Funeral Home. Burial will be at Restland Cemetery.Martha and Ron were a true team in their marriage. They had their own endeavors but they supported and assisted each other in being successful in their pursuits. They were both very civic minded and believed in volunteering and making the world a better place. Ron was more of the behind the scene supporter of Martha. He was her finance manager for many of her elected posts she ran for. They were both very active in their respective Rotary Clubs they were members of and each held committee posts including President of their chapter. They were also very active in the VFW club. They both respected each other and gave a maximum effort to their marriage.Martha was very active in the Richardson and Dallas communities most of her life. Listed are some of her accomplishments and major endeavors. She was Mayor of Richardson Texas, Richardson Councilwoman, Justice of the Peace for Dallas County for 18 years, President of the Richardson Rotary Club, Paul Harris recipient and won Citizen of the year award.Ron traveled the world for his job with Rockwell Collins and Boeing. His position as an engineer required high military clearance. Ron was an Army Veteran, President of the Central Rotary Club of Richardson, Paul Harris Recipient, President of the Richardson Republican Men’s Club, Finance Manager for Martha’s first election for City Councilwoman and Chairman of Richardson’s first Christmas Parade.
