Martha Serafin's Obituary
Martha Lou Serafin (King) passed away on January 26, 2016. She was born on August 8, 1936 in Wheeler, Texas to St Elmo Murray and Callie King. She graduated from Canadian High School in 1954. She was married to Andrew John Serafin of Hastings, PA until his death in 2002. They met at Clovis AFB when he was stationed there and she was working as a secretary. She left the work force with her first child. She began working again once her children were older. She worked at Texas Instruments in a variety of roles, retiring from the company in 1999. In her free time she loved crafts; baking cakes, sewing, ceramics, and dolls. She was never happier than when she was making clothes for her granddaughters Elizabeth and Victoria. Martha had a beautiful smile and infectious laugh. She welcomed anyone in her home and was there to help anyone who needed it. Martha is survived by her son Michael, daughter Christine, sister Joyce West, brother James King. Her grandchildren are Harrison Walling, Victoria and Elizabeth Serafin. Family will receive friends on Sunday, January 31, 2016 from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Monday, February 1, 2016 at 12:30 PM in The Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243.
