When you told me you were sick and I asked what was on your Bucket List, you said you had pretty much done all you wanted to do. I can hear you now "What had happened was..."
Thank you for allowing me to be part of the last 22 years of that journey, starting with the Mingles Group. Mystery Dinner Theater, House parties, and Bowling!! I LOVE how you had jewelry for every holiday and special occasion.
Volunteer work at Grapevine Festivals (was there ever one you missed?) and the Palace Theater which led to Bartending at the Lancaster...they called you Sparkle Lady. Your JOY was contagious.
Working together as Security at great venues like Cowboy Stadium, Bass Performance Hall, Kay Baily Center, Concessions at State Fair & Stock Show, Decorating private homes for the holidays....and that always promised Last Garage Sale.
WinStar Road trips to see Kraig Parker as ELVIS and donate a little to the casino.
Celebrating our birthday month together with traditional Cowgirl Hall of Fame and Mexican Food...and Horse Racing among other fun experiences!!
You kept my mothers tradition going for me by making sure I had socks for Christmas and your tradition of making Fudge.
You were one of the few friends that got along so well with my late husband that we could travel together. Thank you for loving me enough to accept him into your circle. If you had not had that Casino Night Party 22 years ago, I would not have ended up with him.
And life lessons you taught me thru your experiences before we met....I can hear you now telling stories that began "What had happened was....."
