Mrs. Martha Ann Wright's Obituary
Martha Ann Barnes Wright went to Heaven May 25, 2015. She was born January 15, 1944 in Brunswick, GA to Al and Helen Barnes. Their “baby Martha” was their beloved only child. Martha spent part of her childhood living in Germany, where Al was stationed in the US Army. Upon her family’s return to the US, Martha attended school in Augusta, GA. There at 16, she met her sweetheart, Ron Wright, to whom she was happily married for 48 years. Martha attended Georgia Southern University, where she received her Bachelor of Science in Education. She subsequently taught 4th grade for several years. However, her favorite job and passion was being a mom to her three girls, Laura, Lynn and Leigh, and later “Grandmommy” to her 9 (and soon to be 10) grandchildren. Martha faithfully served Christ her Savior at church and in her community by loving everyone and helping anyone who had a need. She was a member of Stonebriar Community Church and was a leader in Women’s Bible Studies. Martha’s kindness, hospitality, and graciousness will be deeply missed. A memorial service will be Saturday, May 30th, 10 am, Stonebriar Community Church, 4801 Legendary Drive, Frisco, TX. 75034 In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to Compassion International or the American Cancer Society. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday May 30, 2015 at Stonebriar Community Church 4801 Legendary Drive Frisco, Texas 75034. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75238 at Restland Road.
