Martin Birman's Obituary
Martin Birman died unexpectedly on April 7, 2018, in Dallas, Texas at the age of 44.Martin is survived by wife, Eva, father, Igor, mother, Anna, and sister, Lauren.Martin was born on February 3, 1974, in Odessa, Ukraine and came to the states in 1979, where he and his family lived in New York until 1991. Martin and his family moved to Dallas, Texas, where he finished school and graduated from Garland High School. Sometime after, he became an optician and worked at Pearle Vision for many years. He married Eva Birman at 30 and lived a simple, content life with her for 14 years.Martin was a selfless, reliable person, and he always put others’ needs first. Everyone knew him as a sports enthusiast, and he loved his New England Patriots football team. His passion and hobbies included watching all kinds of sports, collecting football memorabilia, collecting comic book figurines and wrestling belts, and reading the latest best-seller. Martin was a one-of-a-kind character and would always say to everyone, “no problem.” He never wanted anyone to worry about him, and he was loyal to his family, close friends, coworkers, and wife. He will be terribly missed, but his spirit and memory will remain in the hearts of everyone he impacted.A funeral is scheduled for Thursday, April 12 at 11:00 AM in the Mt. Zion Garden at Restland Cemetery, with a reception to follow. Rabbi Block will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Martin’s life.
