Sending my heartfelt thoughts and prayers to the Johns family. Marvin truly was a great man! He was knowledgeable, but always wanted to share that knowledge with others and help them grow. He was kind and understanding, but also understood the urgency with which things needed to get done. He had a fire in him, especially when it came to his family and his Mustang :) I appreciate all of the projects I got to work with Marvin, but even more so, the time I was able to spend getting to know him as a person. Marvin is deeply missed and was a treasure to have as part of our LM Team.

I first met Marvin back in 1988 working on some missile tooling at LTV Jefferson Street Ordnance Facility. I thought I knew what I was doing but Marvin quickly taught me a thing or two about tooling and why it had to be heavy duty and close tolerance. He always had a keen sense of thinking outside the box before that became a catchy phrase. When you look at things from all angles you can open opportunities never imagined. Marvin taught me a lot of other things in life as well, one of them how to be a nice guy. I try but I fail every day. Marvin never failed at being a nice guy…never. He even let me take his Canary Yellow Firebird for a test drive once in Arkansas. That was a thrill because that puppy would get up and go!
I will miss you my friend. Job well done. I have lost a great mentor, but the Lord has gained an excellent wingman.
My condolences for all Marvin’s family and take comfort in knowing he left this world for a better place and we will see him again someday.

Marvin gave me my shot in tool design at Lockheed and I am forever grateful. He mentored me and taught me so much about the art. But more importantly he always made me laugh and cheered me up! I loved listening to his stories. I will miss him, and will never forget him. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family.

I went to Central Grade School & LHS in Lebanon with Marvin. He was a nice guy. I always envied how close he lived to Central...right across the street. What a full life he lived!
