Mr. Marvin Dudley Koiner's Obituary
Marvin “Dudley” Koiner, 89, peacefully went to be with the Lord on July 22, 2023 in Katy, TX. Dudley was born August 21, 1933 to Marvin Henry and Fredonia Belle Koiner in Dallas, TX. He married his beautiful and loving college sweetheart in 1959, Margie McClendon. They were married for 43 years before the Angels took her to Heaven.
Dad will always be loved, remembered and missed by his four children: Kyle Koiner (Lisa), Kraig Koiner, Kristi Dishongh (Randy) and Kelly Sandidge (Steven); his 8 grandchildren: Kristopher (Laura), Caroline Wilkerson (Stephen), David (Jacqueline) and Madeline Koiner; Kindall Koiner; Brian and McKenna Dishongh; and Preslie Sandidge; and his 8 great grandchildren: Lena, Karson and Gavin Koiner; Joshua and Emilia Wilkerson; Mary Koiner; Karma Judd and Rory Ross.
Dudley was reunited in Heaven with his devoted wife, doting parents and precious granddaughter Ellie Dawn Dishongh.
Dad was a family man. He truly loved all his kids, grandkids and great grandkids. He showed it in numerous ways, including always showing up at sporting events from kindergarten through college, taking camping trips in the big blue tent, RV vacations all over the state, taking all his kids and grandkids skiing behind the green Larson or the blue Sea Ray boat and relaxing outside watching everyone play. He and mom loved to travel (especially cruising) all over the world, including Italy, Spain, Germany, France, Greece, Croatia, the Bahamas, Canada and also most of the 50 United States including Alaska & Hawaii. Dad enjoyed being outdoors grilling hamburgers, his favorite snacks were Ding Dongs & Twinkies and every Friday night was pepperoni pizza with a beer.
Dudley graduated from the University of North Texas, Denton, in 1955 with a Bachelors of Business Administration. He was a proud loyal member of the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity and the American Production & Inventory Control Society.
Dudley served in the United States Army with a rank of SPC4, serving in Unit Svc Co 34th Inf APO 24. Dad took a US Navel ship to Korea where he served in the war. He earned a Good Conduct Medal, a Korean Service Medal & several others.
Dudley started his career in the Defense Industry working for LTV & E-Systems as an Accountant. He ended his working career with the Internal Revenue Service retiring in August 1998 with 12 years of service as an Accountant. He then started his favorite job, spending time and traveling with his wife, children & grandchildren.
Dad, even though you lived a long amazing 89 years, it still doesn’t seem long enough. We all miss you dearly, but as believers, we know you are dancing in Heaven with mom, your parents, Ellie and the rest of those who have gone before you.
Marvin Dudley will be laid to rest in the Chapel Section at Restland Funeral Home and Cemetery.
