Mary Ann Adams Bibby's Obituary
BIBBY, MARY ANN ADAMS, Wife of Walter B. Bibby, passed away at her home in Dallas, Texas on October 6, 2008. Mrs. Bibby was born July 1, 1923, in Opp, Alabama and reared in Birmingham, Alabama. She attended Birmingham public schools and Birmingham Southern College. She received her degree in Education from Auburn University in 1946 and taught schools in Birmingham and Mobile, Alabama before moving to Texas with her husband. Mrs. Bibby was a member of KD, American Association of University Women, League of Women Voters, Dallas Council of World Affairs, Dallas Antiques and Fine Arts Society and a patron of the Dallas Museum of Art and the Dallas Symphony. She and her husband lived in Switzerland for a number of years and traveled extensively in Europe, Africa and the Far East. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Walter B. Bibby of Dallas, Texas, a son, Berry A. Bibby, grandchildren, Louis B. Bibby and Katherine E. Bibby, and sister-in-law, Lona Billings of Birmingham, Alabama. Private graveside services and burial will be at Restland Cemetery in Dallas, Texas. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
