Mary Carole Anderwald's Obituary
Mary T. Anderwald passed away Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2023 in Sulphur Springs, Texas at the age of 85.
Mary was born Nov. 11, 1937 to Uyless and Lorene Tarrant. She moved to Dallas, Texas when she was 18 years old. She was a long-term employee for Chubb Insurance. With Chubb, she became well-traveled as she supervised several states. She married Andy Anderwald on Jan. 24, 1970. He preceded her in death on Jan. 15, 1992.
Upon retirement, she was employed by her church, Prestonwood Baptist Church. She served as Mike Fechner’s assistant which transition her to Bridgebuilders as his assistant later. In 2019, she moved to Sulphur Springs to be near family, and became a member of First Baptist Church. She was passionate in spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ.
She was also preceded in death by her parents Uyless and Lorene Tarrant.
She is survived by her siblings, Sharlyn Vaughn, Rita Denton and her husband, Jerry, Ray Tarrant and his wife Nancy, Jimmy Tarrant and his wife Darlene, and Barbara Atherton and her husband Don. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Her going home service will be held at Restland in Dallas, Texas on Monday, at 10 a.m. Donations can be made to BridgeBuilders, P.O.
