Mary Ann Rix's Obituary
RIX, MARY ANN Our beloved mother and grandmother, Mary Ann Rix, died peacefully on July 27, 2013, in Allen, Texas. Mary Ann was born August 11, 1924 in Lafayette, Louisiana, the youngest of eight children. She was married to Charles Judson Rix in 1944. Mary Ann loved to travel, do craftwork, and be with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, and her son, John Rix. She is survived by her son, Chris Rix, wife Wrenda, and grandson Taylor; her daughter, Char Crane, husband Joe, grandson Sky Crane and wife Meghann, and great-grandson Thornton, and granddaughter Chase Magness, husband David, and great-grandson Paul David; her daughter, Henrietta Rix Wood, husband Alan, and granddaughters Adrienne and Tessa; her daughter, Tammy Gaumer, husband David, and grandchildren Nick, Amanda, and Julia; and John’s wife, Jill Rix. A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. July 29 at Restland Memorial Park in Dallas, with a luncheon following at First United Methodist Church of Allen, 601 S. Greenville Ave. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Allen Senior Recreation Center.
