Mary Lee Bolen's Obituary
Born October 1, 1927 in Mabscott, WV, and passed away peacefully on October 31, 2014, in Dallas, TX. Mary Lee Pack was raised in the coal camps of southern West Virginia. She married Douglas Henry Bolen in 1949. The Bolen family had three children and spent their early years in Beckley, WV. Doug’s job took them to Lynchburg, VA in the early 1960s, where they lived until another job relocation brought them to Richardson, TX, in 1976. In recent years, Mary Lee has lived at Walnut Place in Dallas. She is preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Ethel Pack; her husband of 52 years, Douglas Henry Bolen; brothers, Edward Ramon Pack, Carl Ray Pack, Larry Thomas Pack, Benny Joe Pack; sisters, Patsy Jean Pack and Willa Mae Pack. Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Douglas Ray Bolen of Richardson, TX; and Wiley Carl Bolen of Brookneal, VA; daughter, Donna Bolen Dulong (husband Peter) of Dallas, TX; loving granddaughters, Christine Lipscomb (husband Chad) of Seguin, TX; and Laura Bolen of Wilmington, DE; and their mother, Glenda Bolen of Madison Heights, VA; sister, Yvonne “Bonnie” Smith (husband Joe) of Rock Hill, SC; niece, Terri Hayes (husband Patrick) and family of Rock Hill, SC; brother, James Richard Pack (wife Mary Ann) of Lewes, DE. The family extends special thanks to the physicians and staff of Walnut Place Nursing Home, Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas, and Faith Presbyterian Hospice for their loving care. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, November 6, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Restland Memorial Park, Garden of Reflections. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, TX 75238.
