I remember meeting your mom, my aunt, at the bus station in Lubbock, Tx. June 1958. I was just recounting to my son how we traveled from Lubbock to Odessa, to San Angelo,
to Denton. Then, I traveled with Bob and Grpa and Grma Wright to Texarkana to meet my father and his family. I told my son to look on a map and see how far we traveled!! I remember another visit with Mary Ruth; maybe August-- something about buying a present for Lester Boone, like a gag gift!!
How generous she was, taking to time to have me visit, and meet the family.
Thankful to the internet, for this chance to reconnect with family!!
Just noticing right now that our b-days are 2 apart. Mine is on the 29th, hers is Jan 31!! And she died on my mother's birthday!! Interesting coincidence!!
