Mary Margie Carter's Obituary
Margie was born October 17, 1919 near Allen, Texas. She grew up on a farm and remained a country girl at heart for all of her life. She attended schools in Allen and McKinney, Texas. In 1940 she married John Carter, Jr. of Frisco, Texas. They lived in Dallas and retired in Gunter. She was an avid antiquer, gardner and landscape painter. In recent years she lived in Fort Worth near her family. She is survived by her daughter, Beth Parrish and husband Ron of Fort Worth; brother Charles Williams and wife Lynn of Arlington; grandson Steven Scott Parrish and wife Jean of Calgary, Canada and granddaughter Amy Covert and husband Stephen of Sarasota, Florida and great grandchildren Rachel, John Carter and Wesley Parrish, Benjamin and Barrett Covert. Margie and the family are grateful for loyal friends and caregivers, Margaret Stahl, Nina Giannakis and especially Herminia Vera who made her last months joyous. Graveside service for Mary Carter will be held on Thursday, January 15, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Restland Memorial Park.
