Mary Carter's Obituary
Mary Carter, 96 years of age, passed away on Wednesday, June 14, 2023. Her final moments were spent peacefully sleeping at home in DeKalb, Texas.
She is preceded in death by her Husband, John Robert Carter; Daughters, Rosia Mary McVea, and Patsy Ann Carter; Sons, James Carter, James Rogers Carter and Kelly Ray Carter; mother, Rosa DuPree; and siblings, Rosia Jane Blunt and Louisa Jenkins.
Surviving Mary are her sons, Aaron Carter, Dell Carter, and Edward Carter; daughters, Ann Slider and Carolyn Whitworth; fifteen grandchildren; and a number of great grandchildren, nieces and
nephews.
She loved to share her faith in Jehovah God with others and talk about his promise to soon make the earth into a paradise. Mary also enjoyed gardening, canning and cooking. She was a devoted wife and mother
who will be dearly missed and remembered.
There will be a Visitation from 2:00pm - 4:00pm on Sunday, June 18, 2023 at Restland Funeral Home. Her Funeral Service will be at 2:00pm on Monday, June 19, 2023 at the Wildwood Chapel in Restland Cemetery. Interment will follow in the Sunset Section of Restland Cemetery. And a reception will follow at Olive Garden, 9079 Vantage Point Drive, Dallas, Texas 75243 at 4pm.
