Mary G. Cash's Obituary
Our beloved mother and grandmother went home to her Lord and Savior on September 9, 2022 in Keller, Texas. She was two months short of her 99th birthday. Mary had always hoped that she would reach her 100th birthday, but she was unable to recover from a fall she suffered in July.
Mary was born in Bonham, Texas on November 13, 1923 to Harry R. Gray and Louise F. Brownlee.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband Leslie E. Cash, her son John G. Cash and brother William Andrew "Andy" Gray.
She is survived by: her daughter Anne Cash (Larry) Streger; her son Bill (Carol) Cash; grandsons Matt (Sharon) Streger and Brandon Cash; great-grandchildren Samantha Streger, Nathan (Jennifer) Streger and Andrea Streger; great-great-grandsons Michael and Joshua Streger; nieces Beki Cash (David) Sansing and Glennis Cash Wilson; nephews Bob (Annette) Gray and Jim (Dianne) Gray; a great-niece and numerous great-nephews and many friends.
Mary was such a wonderful mother, grandmother, and loving wife of 61 years to her beloved husband Les Cash. She was happiest at any family gathering, spending many weekends at their lake house on Texoma boating, fishing and skiing, and especially loved her frequent cruises. Mary was always ready to "go"!
Truly Mary and Les Cash were perfect representatives of "The Greatest Generation"! They will always be our family's most memorable example of what we all strive to be "a shining city on the hill".
Memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society (https://donate3.cancer.org/) or to the charity of one's choice in Dallas, Texas.
Family will receive friends in the Wildwood Chapel at Restland Memorial Park at 1PM on Tuesday, September 20, 2022. Funeral services will begin at 2PM in the Wildwood Chapel. Interment will follow in the Restland Memorial Park.
