Mary Anna Christian's Obituary
CHRISTIAN, MARY ANNA passed away on September 13, 2013 I after a few brief months of dealing with cancer. She was born on February 16, 1930 in Rice, Texas to Harry and Ira Christian. She was the youngest of three girls. Her sisters, Evelyn Crum and Jeannette Christian, preceded her in death. Mary Anna’s surviving relatives are nephew, Harry Crum and wife, Brenda and children; nephew, Donnie Crum and wife, Cheri and children; great-nephews and nieces are Ben Crum, BJ Crum, Lavonda Keuper and Julie Rigsby; great-great nephews and nieces are Connor Keuper, Kennedy Keuper and Rachel Crum. Mary Anna enjoyed her many close friends who strongly supported her during her illness. Mary graduated from North Texas State University. She taught children of military personnel in Japan and London, England. Returning to the United States, she taught elementary children in Dallas for many years. Mary Anna was a longtime member of the Northpark Presbyterian Church where she sang in the choir. She was a strong supporter of the symphony, opera, and the theater. She loved her family and supported them in their accomplishments. Mary Anna will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her. Service will be held Monday, September 16, 2013 at 3:00 PM at Restland Wildwood Chapel with visitation 1 hour prior to service.
