Mary Suzanne Cordsen Pace's Obituary
Mary Suzanne Cordsen Pace died on March 12, 2017, after a courageous battle with Lewy Body Dementia. Suzie was born in Kansas City, Missouri on October 23, 1930. She attended Highland Park Schools and Hillcrest High School. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie B. Pace, her son, Michael Pace, her daughter, Mary Ann Pace, her parents, Benjamin and Nana Cordsen, and brother-in-law, Larry Pace. Survivors include her beloved granddaughter Andrea Pace Davis, Andrea’s husband Slade Davis, and great-grandsons Ryder and Westyn Davis of Sterling City, Texas. She is also survived by her brother-in-law Jim Pace, and sisters-in-law Janice Pace and Linda Pace, as well as nieces, nephews, and cousins. Suzanne was known for her support of numerous animal charities, giving generously over the years to dozens of charities in support of animals. She was a member of Brookhaven Country Club, where she was an active member of the Brookhaven Women’s Tennis Association for many years. She cherished many dear friends at the Dallas Bowling Association and close friends in her birthday group. She also enjoyed the Dallas Symphony Orchestra League, Caprice Civic Club, Mary K. Craig Class, and MesAmies. Family graveside services will be held at Restland Funeral Home (in the area directly in front of Abbey Chapel), 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, on Wednesday, March 15 at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, suggested memorial charities include the Lewy Body Dementia Association, 912 Killian Hill Road, S.W., Lilburn, GA 30047 or Operation Kindness, 3201 Earhart Dr., Carrollton, TX 75006.
