Mary Sue Davidson's Obituary
Mary Sue Davidson, 88, passed away Monday, October 10, 2022, surrounded by the love of her children, in Plano, Texas. Known as Sue throughout her life, she was born to John Willis and Modena Fry on May 29th, 1934, in Hugo, Oklahoma. After moving to Freer, Texas, at the age of 14, she met her future husband, Billy Charles Davidson. They married in Corpus Christi, Texas, on her birthday in 1953, and started their family soon after, celebrating their 69th wedding anniversary this year.
Sue enjoyed her work life. She most enjoyed being the receptionist and bookkeeper for the first family business of Bill Davidson Photography in Midland, Texas, and later, working for about 20 years as the Dispatcher for Sperry-Univac Computers in the Dallas area. After leaving Sperry, she worked as a teaching or library assistant for the Garland and Dublin school districts.
Throughout her life, Sue was very active in local garden clubs and social service organizations, enjoyed card and domino games, and travelled as often as she could. She enjoyed European and Hawaiian vacations especially, but travelled to both coasts, as well. She spent many weekends over the years with friends traveling to casinos from Las Vegas to Biloxi.
Sue is survived by her husband Bill, of Plano, and her children, Lynda Davidson of Plano, Jon Davidson, of Granbury, and Thomas Davidson, of Garland. The family extends their thanks and appreciation to Heart to Heart Hospice and the many friends who have offered prayers, help and support during these last few months.
A memorial service will be held November 5th at 2:00p.m., in the Wildwood Chapel at Restland Cemetery in Dallas. The service will also be live-streamed: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W77OJQblORQ
