Mary John Eidson's Obituary
Mary John Cole Eidson was born May 8, 1929 in Vigo Park, Texas. She died December 9, 2023 in Rockwall, Texas.
Mary John was preceded in death by her parents, J. P. and Ruth Cole, brothers Hoyt Cole and wife Sue, Hardy Cole and wife Jennie, husband of 59 years, Lewis Eidson, and children Kendall Eidson, Debbie Dixon, Gina Schreiber and Sherry Jenkins. She is survived by son Mike Eidson and wife Beth of Rockwall, son in law Clark Jenkins of Garland, grandchildren Keri Delgado and husband Izzy of Prosper, Brent Dixon and wife Renee of Durango, Colorado, Jack Eidson, Riley Eidson, Drew Jenkins, Joel Jenkins, Bethany Jenkins Bailey and husband Bruce, Sam Jenkins, and great grandchildren Kaleb Boswell, Brayden Boswell, Ava Dixon and Lucy Dixon. Survivors also include eleven nieces and nephews and families.
Mary John was a life-long Methodist and was active in the choir along with attending Bible Study Fellowship. She taught for over 20 years on the elementary and college levels. She loved to paint and sew. She made jewelry, played the piano, played tennis and wrote a book. She was an excellent cook and loved to collect recipes. Her greatest joy was her family.
