Mary Frances Evans' Obituary
Mary Frances Evans, widow of Lewis Evans, died on Saturday, July 19th in Garland, Texas. She has left a legacy of love of family to her daughters, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was the daughter of Raymond Dolen and Florence Heck Dolen. She was born April 22, 1920 in Cohocton, New York. Mary moved from Schenectady, New York and has been in Texas for 49 years where she raised her family. Her greatest love was her family. She was an avid bridge player, Ranger fan, and Cowboy fan. She retired proudly from the Garland ISD administration office. She was preceded in death by her parents, loving husband Lewis, two sister; Eleanor and Jane, three brothers; Raymond, Herb, and Bob and her grandson, Michael. She is survived by her brother, Ed Dolen and sister Florence Dolen of New York State and her daughters and sons in law; Susan and Jon Bennett and Mary Lew and Rudy Turrubiarte, her grandchildren Jule and Steve White, Jason and Shannon Edgar, Chad and Jennifer Edgar, and Blaine and Annie Gamble. Mary had a special love for all her devoted family and especially for the lights of her life, great-grandchildren Patrick and Kathryn White, Garrett Edgar and Avery Gamble. Visitation will be from 6 ‘ 8 pm, Monday July 21 at Restland Funeral Home. Service will be held at Restland’s Wildwood Chapel at 12:30 pm, Tuesday, July 22.
