Mary Jo Feagley's Obituary
Mary Jo Feagley of Winnsboro, Texas went to be with her Lord on August 12, 2020. After 76 years of unselfishly loving and caring for those around her Mary Jo's big beautiful heart gave all that it could give and, in that moment, "heaven gained an amazing woman", as one of her grandchildren proclaimed. She was born to Dee and Mary Roberts on April 21, 1944 in Paris, Texas. She grew up in Plainview, Texas with an older sister, a younger sister, and younger brother as well.
Mary Jo was married to her adoring husband, Roy whom she lovingly referred to as "Boots" for 57 years. They shared a fulfilled life blessed with 4 sons, 3 daughter-in-law’s, 7 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild all of whom she adored beyond words. She lived her life putting all of her "kids" (as she called her boys, their spouses, and their kids), and Roy first. She unselfishly nurtured, advised, cared for, and fed them all very well!! Not only was Mary Jo the anchor that grounded her family, she was the backbone to a family business that spanned over 50 years that at some point employed most of the men in our family and provided reliable service to the customers the business served. She served her church and her community with an open heart and would give her last penny to help anyone in need.
This amazing woman touched so many lives that putting her life into words is nearly impossible. If you were blessed to be "one of her people" you were loved unlike you've ever been loved by anyone before. She loved the Lord, her community, her friends, and her family fearlessly. She was an amazing sister whose siblings will miss her dearly. Her brother Ron who didn't always live close knew his sister was always there for him and he will forever be grateful for her always being the ear that would listen when he needed her. Her sister Jayne was always her side kick and they shared a special bond that goes beyond the title "sister". They were confidantes, best friends, each other’s shoulder to lean on sharing all of life's good and bad times. They raised their children together each parenting the other's children and giving their nieces and nephews the absolute blessing of having their "Aunt J" pour into their lives immeasurably.
Mary Jo, Jo, Mom, Nana, Aunt Jo, Nana Jo, you will be missed dearly. Thank you for loving your family and friends the way you did, we are all better human beings because of you.
Mary Jo is survived by her loving husband Roy, her four adoring sons, Robby, Todd, Brad, and Cody, her daughter in laws Margaret, Laurie, and Sherri, her grandchildren Shawn, Madison, Ashlyn, Lauren, Hannah, Michael, and Anthony, her great granddaughter Isabella Rose, her Sister Jayne Davis and spouse Dennis, and her brother Ron Roberts and spouse Melveeta.
She is preceded in death by her mother Mary Francis Roberts, her father Dee Roberts, and her sister Linda Daffron.
