My heart is so sad and empty right now, because I have lost my very dearest friend. Mary and I met when she and her sweet mother, Ester, were moving into the Tuscany Senior Living Facility about 8 years ago and we fast became the best of friends. We both were Capricorns and both of us were born in 1940! I had a little Yorkie, named Truffles, that absolutely loved Mary and Ester. We would visit every day and when time to go home, Truffles would go sit at Mary's feet and just look up at her as if saying, "Please let me stay". We finally would let him stay and when he was ready to come home he would go sit by the door; Mary would call me on the phone, and we both would open our doors and Truffles would run back to me! Mary told me much later, that her mother, really did not like pets at all, but she loved Truffles. In fact, when Ester was in rehab, she would ask for me to bring Truffles to visit her. Mary and I had so much fun running around town, going to resale shops, garage sales, antique stores and our favorite of course was shopping at the new "Super Walmart" stores! I enjoyed having people ask us if we were sisters. I really loved Mary like the sister I never had! To Mary's family, may you celebrate Mary's life by remembering all the happy times you have shared with her and may your memories help ease the sadness you are now feeling. We will all miss Mary and remember her lovingly. I think I will never forget the sweet little lady with the beautiful blond hair and her blue, blue eyes! May you rest in peace. My most sincere condolences to the family. I am a long time friend of Tim Flippin and often heard him speak of his mother, Mary.
