Mary Frances Bell's Obituary
Mary Frances Bell, age 74 of Richardson, TX, passed away on August 18th, 2017. She was born on November 18th, 1942 in Dallas, Tx to James Edgar and Jessie Juanita Reddick. Mary was the fourth of four children, Martha Presley and Sally Bell married to Joe. She married Melvin Ray Bell on March 17th, 1962, in a private ceremony. He was so afraid her mother would be mad after that, he took her straight home to her mother’s house! She had three children, Lisa Birdwell married to Gaylord, Lazarus Bell married to Elizabeth, and Alicia Hicks married to Jason. She had four grand children whom she adored: Megan Birdwell, Julia Hicks, Norah Hicks and Nathan Bell. She was a long-standing, faithful member of The First United Methodist Church of Richardson. Mary loved spending time with her friends and her family, going to church, shopping and enjoying life. Mary spent much of her time with her grandchildren, playing pretend, doing crafts, reading books, or countless hours talking with them. Most of all, Mary loved her husband Melvin, who cared for her day and night through her illness. Mary was preceded in death by her parents James Edgar and Jessie Juanita Reddick, and her brother James Reddick. Funeral service to celebrate Mary’s life will be held on Wednesday, August 23, 2017, at 2:30 PM in the Memorial Chapel at Restland Funeral Home.
