Mary Frances Pullen's Obituary
Mary Frances Pullen was born September 13, 1928 was a resident of Texas nearly her whole life. She passed on Sunday, December 4, 2016 in Arlington. Services will be graveside on December 11, 2016 at 1 pm at Restland Memorial Park. Mom was adopted at a very early age by Charles and Cora Bivens and attended North Dallas High School. She was married to James E. Pullen on November 23, 1952. She and James raised two children, Sandie Schelm and Charles Pullen. In addition to her children, “Mimi” is survived by five grandchildren, three by Sandie: Nikki, Allen and Jamie, two by Charles; Dallas and KatieMichal. She also has three great grandchildren by Allen; Hannah, Wyatt and Adalyn. Mom, along with Dad, provided her children a great childhood, founded in Christian love, certainly discipline, and the opportunity to receive an exceptional education. All of this, and more, combined to create a model of how to be a wonderful parent. There are wonderful stories to tell, and we will for years to come reminisce about Mom’s little habits and her loves. The big laugh. Her love of fishing, though she really wasn’t very good at it. Endless games of Canasta with the grandkids. The gritted teeth and eyes that turned coal-black when you stepped on the wrong side of the line, and the endless support she gave her kids growing up with encouraging words that we could achieve anything. We love and appreciate you. Thanks Mom.
