Mary Jane Gibbs' Obituary
Mary Jane Felton Gibbs Born June 7th 1923 in Dallas TX to John Price Felton and Beatrice Jarnigan. She passed away Saturday June 26, 2010. She graduated from Sunset High School in Oak Cliff. She worked most of her life in Commercial Title Insurance for Hexter Title Co. and Hexter Fair Title Co. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church where she was an Elder. She also belonged to Kiwanis. Widow of Ellison Harry Gibbs and survived by her daughter Rebecca Gibbs and Gump Gibbs of Boston, MA and her son Harry Felton Gibbs and his wife Avis Gibbs of Georgetown, TX and their children Jenny and Scott and her brother Joe E. Felton of Abilene, TX and more recently Temple, TX, her cousin Commander Robert Felton, ret. and his wife Arlene Felton of Sparta, TN and their son Eric Felton and Heidi Felton. Close family friends Oma and Mary Church, Dorothy Jones her faithful caregiver and Harvey Jacobs her faithful friend and life saver and her Dr Alan Kaye who always asked about Gump and many other friends. She made a connection with everyone she met and always had a soft spot for people less fortunate than her. We will never stop loving her. Visitation will be held Monday from 5:30 to 7:30 at Restland Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Ave. Dallas TX, 75243 on Monday June 28th. Services will be held at Westminster Presbyterian Church, at 1:00 on June 29th. 8200 Devonshire, Dallas, TX 75209. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Westminster Presbyterian Church, Dallas, TX.
