Mary Louise Green's Obituary
83, died January 28, 2010 after a long struggle with Alzheimer’s disease. She was a much beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and great-aunt to a large, diverse and loving family. Mary Lou was born in San Antonio on November 20, 1926 to William Clyde and Elsie Lafield. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, J. Edward Green after 44 years of marriage, and by her granddaughter Angela Stacy of Tulsa, OK. She is survived by her four sons and their wives, Jim and Laurie Green of Tulsa, OK, Tom and Cindy Green of Longview, TX, Chuck and Valerie Green of Dallas, TX, and Stewart and Denise Green of Longview, TX; ten grandchildren Adam Green, Allison Aitken, Denise Knutson, Andrea Reynolds, Eric Green, Dana Stoke, Bryan Green, Bridget Green, Alexandra Green, and Jackson Green; three great-granddaughters Hannah Stacy, Sydney Stacy, and Rebecca Stoke; brother Wm. Clyde Lafield, Jr.; and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Ellis Chapel, Park Cities Baptist Church, 3933 Northwest Hwy, Dallas, Texas. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Disease Center at UT Southwestern Medical Center, in care of The Memory Unit, Attn. Dr. Myron F. Weiner, Development Office, P.O. Box 910888, Dallas, TX 75391-0888.
