Mary Ann Greene's Obituary
Beloved wife, mother, sister and friend passed from this life surrounded by her loving family to be with the Lord on December 22, 2007 in Richardson, Texas. She was born on July 23rd 1949 in Melvin, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward Sandoval Jr. and Juanita Sandoval; and in-laws, Tom Greene and Daisy Garrison. She is survived by her beloved husband and best friend of 30 years, John Greene; daughter, Julianna a student, at the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio; sisters, Rosa Sandoval and Aurelia Ramirez (husband Felix) of Brady; brother, Eddie Sandoval of Fort Worth; nieces, Melinda Baker, Monica Gaetjens, Jenifer Greene; and nephews, Pierce Sandoval, Chris Greene, Thomas Greene, Jon Greene, and Tyler Greene. She was a devoted member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Richardson. Member of Catholic Daughters, rosary makers, and ministered at Medical City Hospital. In the past year she made over 800 rosaries for the church. She was a member of the Missionary Servants of Holy Love and over the past year went on pilgrimages to Elyria Ohio with her special friends. Mary Ann was proud of her American Indian heritage and was a sacred pipe carrier of the Apaches. She participated and supported Lakota Sun dances in Ironwood South Dakota. She was an advocate of American Indian issues, led spiritual sweat ceremonies for incarcerated American Indian women in Fort Worth federal prison. She was an accomplished silversmith and artist, and exhibited her creations at many juried art shows. She was a graduate of Richland College and worked for Richardson ISD for ten years touching the lives of many children. She was an avid sports fan, a gourmet cook, and she loved traveling, especially to Mexico. She had a spontaneous wit, and zeal for life. She was a kind and caring person who extended a helping hand to others. Her generosity of spirit extended not only to her loved ones but also to the many friends she cherished. She will be missed by the many lives she touched. The family wishes to thank the wonderful staff of the Vista Care Hospice group. Visitation will be on Wednesday, December 26, 2007 from 5:00-9:00 p.m with the Rosary at 7:00 p.m at Restland Memorial Chapel. Service will be on Thursday, December 27, 2007 at the St. Paul the Apostle catholic church, 720 South Floyd Rd, Richardson, Texas 75080 at 10:00 a.m.
