Mary Scott Heines' Obituary
HEINES, MARY SCOTT nee Mary Scott Emerson, was born May 11, 1947 in Evansville, Indiana and passed away October 30, 2012 in Dallas, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alan and Nancy Emerson; sisters, Ellen Emerson Brikowski and Nancy Holden Emerson; and her uncle, John Holden Gibson. She is survived by her husband, Thomas Heines of Dallas, Texas; son, Grant Kuneman and wife, Isabel Martinez Kuneman of Allen, Texas; aunt, Ruth Gibson; cousins, Jay Holden Gibson; grandchildren, Antonio Kuneman and Andres Kuneman, (to whom she was known affectionately as “Grandmary”) and other nieces and nephews. Mary was a beautiful person who loved and was loved in turn by everyone she met. In particular, she had tremendous fondness for children and animals. She was a devout member of St. Barnabas Church, taught Sunday school for children, sang in the choir, was an elder and directed the education program, among other functions. She volunteered regularly at Equest Therapeutic Horse Center in Wyle, Texas. Family will receive friends on Saturday, November 3, 2012, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Restland Funeral Home, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75243. The service will be held Sunday, November 4, 2012, at 4:30 PM at St. Barnabas Presbyterian Church, 1220 W. Belt Line Road, Richardson, Texas 75080. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Equest Therapeutic Horse Center, 3800 Troy Road, Wylie, Texas 75098, or through www.equest.org.
