Mary Lou Henderson's Obituary
Mary Lou Henderson, born October 12, 1943; went home to be with the Lord January 20, 2017. She was born in Muncie Indiana to John Hervey Smith and Grace June Godwin Smith of Albany, Indiana. She resided in Dallas, Texas where she worked as an office administrator for the law firm of Smith & Moore until her retirement in 2013. She is predeceased by her sister Cheri Ann Albin, and her mother Grace June Smith. She is survived by her brother Charles H Smith and his wife Linda, and their children Ryan and Milena Smith, Amy and Eric Castro and Sarah and Caleb Bagwell; her brother-in-law Richard Albin and his children Alisha and Chris Paxton, Randy and Ashley Albin, Tyler and Sarah Albin, and Caleb Albin. Mary Lou was a loving daughter, sister, and aunt. She will always be remembered for her kindness and great sense of humor. Like her mother, she enjoyed all types of sports, particularly football and basketball. Mary Lou was employed in the legal profession throughout her career, first in accounting and later as law office Administrator for Winstead, McGuire & Sechrest. Mary Lou was part of the founding team of Maloney & Smith, and then later part of the founding of Smith & Moore, where she retired after more than 25 years as the Administrator and CFO of the Firm. Mary Lou was well known in the Dallas legal community as an outstanding law office Administrator. A Celebration of Life service for Mary Lou will be held 10:00 AM Monday January 30, 2017 at Wildwood Chapel, Restland Memorial Park 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to North Texas Food Bank; Insight For Living (Insight.org); Young Lives (giving.younglife.org/younglives) or a charity of choice. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted into Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75243.
