Mary Gayle Henson's Obituary
Mary Gayle Henson, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 13, 2024, in Corinth, Texas, at the age of 87. She was born on March 25, 1936, in Garland, Texas, to her parents George and Mattie Lucas.
Mary was preceded in death by her loving husband, Elmer Henson, and her daughter, Lori Gee. Though their passing left a void in her heart, Mary's spirit remained strong as she persevered through life's trials.
Mary is survived by: Andrea Ford of Hoschton, GA; Cindy Parker of Melbourne, FL; Randall Duckworth of Corinth, TX; Dan Duckworth of Dallas, TX; and Tracy Smith of Corinth, TX.
Mary's warm and caring nature extended beyond her immediate family. She adored her grandchildren and found immense joy in spending time with them. Mary treasured every moment she shared with her grandchildren. In her free time, Mary enjoyed casting her line and immersing herself in the tranquility of fishing. It was a passion that brought her peace and solace. She also had a keen eye for photography, capturing the beauty of the world around her through her lens. Mary's hobbies reflected her appreciation for the simple pleasures in life.
A funeral service to honor Mary's life will be held on January 22, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Restland Funeral Home in the Abbey Chapel, located on 13005 Greenville Ave., Dallas, TX 75243.
