Mary Jean "Jeannie" Wilder Brennan's Obituary
Mary Jean “Jeannie” Wilder Brennan entered this world in Dallas, Texas on June 22, 1947 and left us on January 6, 2018 in Dallas, Texas after a courageous battle with leukemia.Mary “Jeannie” Wilder attended Dallas Independent Schools while growing up in Little Forest Hills and Casa View. She graduated from Bryan Adams High School in 1965.She grew up going to Church of Christ and Methodist Churches as her parents belonged to different religions. She found her belief system fit in best with the Baptist doctrine and joined Lake Side Baptist Church. Over the years, her letter was at Ferguson Road Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas, North Lake Baptist Church in Garland, Texas, and Lake Pointe Church in Garland, Texas.Mary “Jeannie” Brennan worked for Garland Independent School District at Memorial Preparatory School as the Office Manager for twenty-nine years. She also worked the gate at Homer B. Johnson Stadium for twenty years. In her spare time, and after retirement form GISD, she worked at South Fork Ranch as wait staff and receptionist. Her favorite part of working at Ranch was the wonderful friends she made, and posing as Mrs. Claus with her elf, Happy.She was preceded in death by her husband of 31 years Jerry Paul Brennan; Father, Everitt Ross Wilder and Mother, Judieth Ella Wilder.She was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt and grandmother. She leaves behind a loving family including her sister Linda Dean and husband Steve of Kingston, Oklahoma. Their sons, Stephen Leland Dean Jr. and wife Aimee of Honey Creek, TX. Joseph Scott Dean and wife Darcy of Valley View, TX. Great nieces and nephews, Courtney, Alexis, Hudson and Grayson. Her devoted daughter Tammy Dawn Simmons and husband Kevin of Murphy, TX. Her son Troy Everitt Brennan of Festus, Missouri. Her cherished grandchildren Hunter, Skyler Brennan and Brenna Simmons. As well as, many nieces and nephews on her husband’s side, and extensive extended family.Mary’s services will be held at Restland Memorial Cemetery in Dallas, Texas. Wake or visitation will be January 8, 2018 from 6 – 8 pm. Funeral Services will be January 9, 2018 @ 11 am Memorial Chapel at Restland. Graveside will follow in The Plaza with her great grandparents, father, mother, and husband. Late lunch or early dinner will be at South Fork Ranch following services on January 9.In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Plano Bible Chapel or The Gideons International organization to spread the Gospel.
