Mary Margaret Logue's Obituary
Mary Margaret Perry Logue, 90, of Richardson, Texas, passed away peacefully on March 23, 2023, in Allen, TX.
Mary Logue was born on May 7, 1932 in Quincy, Illinois, to Judge Lawrence Edward (L.E.) Perry and Kathryn Valentine Pennington. She was the 4" daughter of 6 children, Vera Looney, Sue Rand, Bertie Silseth, Gladys Perry, L.E. Perry Jr, and little Loretta Perry. L.E. and Kate moved to Rogers, Arkansas where they made their home amongst a huge apple orchard just outside what is now Downtown Rogers.
Mary graduated from Rogers High School in 1950, where she was a cheerleader and won the title of Miss Lake Atlanta in 1948.
She married Donald Lee Logue on June 6, 1951 in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Don's career took them to many States, finally settling in Richardson, Texas in 1969, when on a business trip, Don saw the house he and Mary had seen before and fallen in love with was up for sale. They lived in the Canyon Creek area for over 40 years before Don's death on October 30, 2010.
Along the way, they adopted 2 children, David Perry Logue and Susan Leigh Logue who gave her 5 grandchildren, David M. Logue, Jarrod Logue, Tim Logue, Megan Logue and Nathan Ball; and 3 great-grandchildren, Dameon Logue, XochitI Logue, and Zidane Robison.
Mary was a life-long Christian and was a member of Fellowship Bible Church and then Chase Oaks in Plano, Texas. She and Don were active members for years giving their lives over to Christ and teaching His Word, making many lasting friendships along the way.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents, her 5 sisters, her brother and her partner in life, Don.
Mary is survived by her son, David Logue and his wife, Martha Logue, of Allen, Texas; her daughter, Susan Logue of Porum, Oklahoma; 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
