Mary E Lomonaco's Obituary
Mary Elizabeth Carona Lomonaco, loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away peacefully on October 27, 2017 at the age of 101. Mary was born in Dallas, Texas to Nunzie and Mary LaRocca Carona on July 1, 1916, and married to Sam Lomonaco on June 21, 1936. She was predeceased by her husband of 61 years, and by her brothers Anthony and Walter Carona. Mary is survived by two sons Sam Lomonaco (Bonnie) and Jim Lomonaco (Martsie), and daughter Mary Beth Martin, grandchildren Catherine Lomonaco, and Christopher Martin (Susannah), and two great grandchildren Phoenix and Griffin Martin. Among her many talents, Mary was a gifted oil painter, an avid team bowler, and an accomplished cook. She was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church for 67 years.We would like to extend our most sincere thanks to the staff at Tradition Senior Living and Faith Presbyterian Hospice for their loving and compassionate care.Graveside service will be held Thursday, November 2, 2017 at 1pm at Calvary Hill Cemetery with a reception immediately following.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Cemetery, 13005 Greenville Ave, Dallas, Texas 75423.
