Mary Frances Maddox's Obituary
Mary Frances Maddox was born on June 7, 1921 in Center, TX. she was the only child to Lena Margaret and Don McDonald. She graduated high school in Center and later attended and graduated from McCracken Business School, Class of 1939. She liked to frequent the City Bakery with her best friend where she would meet her would be husband Wilson Maddox. They would marry soon after on April 1, 1939 and go on to have 3 children. They lived in Shreveport, LA but moved to Mesquite, TX where they raised their children. Frances was a homemaker after working a short time for Sears Roebuck and Wilson worked for and then retired from the MKT- Katy Railroad, they eventually settled down in Garland, TX.Frances and Wilson were happily married 64 years until his death on February 17, 2004.Frances was a loving Wife, Mother and Grandmother, her grandson Gary and his wife Debbie Cordell visited her often as well as her Great Grandsons Gavin and Peyton Mason whom all lovingly referred to her as Grandma Honey. Her daughter Jeannine doted upon her constantly and stayed by he side caring for her until she passed on into heaven on November 1, 2018. We all have great piece and comfort in knowing this as she was a christian woman whom accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior when she was just 9 years old.She is preceded in death by a host of family and friends as well as her husband Woodrow Wilson and her grandson Don Todd Burris. She leaves behind 3 children, 7 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, she will be greatly missed!No services are scheduled at this time.
